Love-Hate challenge

Sammy tagged me in a fun challenge: to list out ten things I love, ten things I hate and ten blogging buddies I’d like to involve in the challenge. How could I refuse?

So here are ten things I love:

  • Breakfast in France with hot chocolate, home-made jam, baguette, and a croissant (no surprise for anyone who ready my A to Z posts)
  • Opening a cardboard box that contains aΒ delivery of books
  • Old libraries
  • Drinking Pimms on a sunny summer afternoon in England
  • The smell of popcorn on entering a cinema
  • Early mornings when the air is fresh
  • Exploring new places with the Hubs
  • Badgers
  • Red Velvet cake
  • Sitting around and talking about nonsenseΒ with family or close friends

Ten things I hate:

  • People revving their car or honking their horn outside our bedroom window
  • Rudeness or any lack of manners
  • Shoes that hurt my feet
  • Spinach and coffee (not necessarily together. I hate them independently too, although I imagine they’d be even worse together!)
  • People who wear so much perfume/cologne I can taste it when I walk past them
  • Intolerance
  • Being rushed or running late (I’m that person you see at the airport, sat at the gate two hours before the plan is due to take off)
  • Spiders
  • Ironing
  • People who are always negative or complaining

Ten blogging buddies I’m tagging:

Kelli

D. Wallace

Sam

Eileen

Kern

Sarah

Susan

Sara

Denise

Over to you guys!

  1. Thanks for the tag, Celine! This should be interesting. Great love/hate lists. I particularly love the old libraries. I could have written the same hate list you have, too, except I would have put spiders at the top. πŸ™‚

  2. OH yeah that greasy movie popcorn smell!!

What does Pimms taste like? I’ve always wanted to try it because I love the name.

    Thanks for playing πŸ’žπŸ˜˜

    • Greasy AND sweet! What’s not to love!? πŸ˜‰
Pimms tastes like….uh. Well to me it tastes like Pimms and like summer. Which isn’t helpful. It’s kind of sweet and a bit fruity because you have the strawberries and citrus fruit in there. It’s honestly the nicest drink to have in the sun.
Well that and G&T, but Pimms wins because it’s a bit special will all the bits of fruit floating around in it πŸ˜‰

  3. What? You hate spinach? Nooo…. πŸ˜‰ I love that you love badgers, though. Yay, badgers!

Thanks for tagging me. I’ve been getting tagged lately for various activities, I’ll probably bundle them up into one mega-post hehe. πŸ™‚

    • I know – too much spinach as a kid means I hate it now. And creamed spinach the worse – ugh.
Haha I love that you like badgers too! Most people when I tell them I love badgers give me a lecture on what a pest they are (I don’t think anything that cute could be a pest)
Sarah of The Old Shelter said the same – lots of challenges floating around at the moment!! πŸ™‚

  4. Ah, I love your list.

So, I’m supposed to write mine, right? How is it that so many people are tagging me these days?
I’ll do my best, as soon as I can… but it’ll be hard to beat your lists πŸ˜‰

    • Yuck – getting stuck in a crowded elevator with someone like that would be horrid. The thing that gets me is the ‘ninja perfume attack’ where someone walks past you, they seem perfectly normal, and after they passed you, you suddenly get this surprise perfume attack that makes you gag. Ugh

    • Always good to know someone else who hates coffee, people are sometimes a bit surprised to hear that I hate it. Might be because I’m French and I should therefore be chain smoking cigarettes as I down endless cups of coffee πŸ˜‰

  6. Celine, loved reading your list and the comments and thank you for tagging me! Forgive me if I don’t rise to the bait – I was asked before and I declined so I would feel ‘guilty’ if I now accepted! I hate feeling guilty. I hate not being able to respond to such requests! I’m not good at the rush of time. I love food, even spinach! Which reminds me I haven’t even had time to have breakfast yet (and it’s 2.06 p.m. already) I love croissants and coffee, chai latte, beautiful gardens and mother nature, cats and dogs, no to spiders and snakes though I would never kill them… books and reading I love love love .. now I’m off to eat! (bought a croissant yesterday to eat today and it’s still in its brown paper wrapping)

    • What a lovely spontaneous love-hate list! πŸ™‚ Hope you enjoyed the croissant – I don’t know how you can make it so late in the day without eating, I can’t function until I’ve eaten something.
And I’m so with you on loving food. That and reading are my great pleasures in life πŸ™‚

    • Haha yes a lot of people like coffee, I’m one of the few πŸ™‚ I can’t even eat tiramisu or anything with a remote coffee taste, I really hate it! I’ll go check out your list in a bit πŸ™‚
