Happy Halloween

I wish I could say this is Poppy, I really do. Sadly, I lack the creativity, skill at painting dog faces, and inclination to do so. Still, as far as Halloween costumes go, I think this one takes the biscuit.

Happy Halloween everyone!

  1. Happy Halloween! πŸ™‚
…thanks for the Neil Gaiman recommendation. I actually started reading Neverwhere about 2 days ago, and I’m L-O-V-I-N-G it!!
The writing is FANTASTIC….just flows and sucks the reader into an amazing world…wow!

    • Oh good! so glad to hear it! It’s one of my favourite books. Have you ever been to London? For me it was extra special because I knew the areas referred (won’t add anything else so as not to spoil anything) and I loved what he did with them. It’s such a magical book.

Glad you’re enjoying it πŸ™‚ If you want a follow up to continue with your Neil Gaiman exploration, The Ocean At The End Of The Lane is really special too, although more fable like.

  2. I’ve been to London…a L-O-N-G time ago…really, really long (LOL)
However, I can remember the places/landmarks… those distinguishing features that embody (the correct word used here?) London, so I have an idea of what you’re talking about when you mentioned that you loved what Gaiman did with the areas…
For example, I had such a good chuckle with the underground tube reference to ‘mind the gaps’… πŸ™‚
    Thanks for the follow-up recommendation!

  3. NaNo? Never done it. Ever. I’m terrified of it.
Strange, because I find the A to Z challenge to be quite a breeze…I suppose they’re two different types of beasts… πŸ™‚
I think it’s the idea of writing1,600 words per day that scares me.
Maybe next year…Knowing myself, I’ll have to have a thorough outline in place, if I EVER want to do NaNo. Or maybe break it down…work on 3 or 4 different projects.
